Biography of Mr. Shamblin ~Updated February 2010~
I am a May 1999 graduate of Cuyahoga Community College with an Associate of Arts Degree. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and missed Summa Cum Laude by mere percentage points. I then transferred to Cleveland State University in August of 1999 and majored in Elementary Education. I graduated from Cleveland State University in December of 2001 with a degree in elementary education 1-8 and I am fully certified in the state of Ohio to educate students in all subjects and grades 1-8. My honors at Cleveland State included being on the deans list and becoming a lifetime member of the golden key national honors society. In May 2005, I finished and graduated with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology at Cleveland State University. Cleveland State University also recognized me for the prestigious Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education which I am a dedicated and proud member of. During Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 at Cleveland State University, I finished a year of administrative course work and Supervision Practicum and passed my Administrative Praxis Exam to obtain my Administrative Specialist License and this allows me to assume Administrative roles in public/private schools etc. One of my biggest accomplishments was completed in December 2009 at Cleveland State University when I finished with my Educational Specialist Degree in Administration (above a Master's Degree) with an emphasis in Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development. In my experiences with educating students, I always enjoyed educating students at the elementary grades and I have a strong passion for integrating technology into the daily lessons. One of my goals in education is to push all school districts to have technology teachers at the elementary level. Presently, I am continuing to advance myself in the field of education and learning new things everyday! Education is the means to success!
