About the Project: EDA 698

My name is Michael Shamblin and I finished with my Educational Specialist Degree in Administration with an emphasis in Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development (CIPD) at Cleveland State University in December 2009.  I do currently have my Administrative Specialist License with completing several courses at Cleveland State and passing the Administrative Praxis Test.  With my exit requirement, I decided to create a website that will provide teachers with technology tutorials for Microsoft Office 2007 etc., links to websites to help with grant resources, educational resources, and a listing of curriculum links.  I also created a page that provided extensive research on using Project Based Learning when educating students with technology in the classroom.  The materials that were used to create this project/website consist of using my extensive knowledge of Microsoft Frontpage to create the overall design of the website from scratch, my personal experiences with educating students with technology, internet websites etc.  I also own several domains and I purchase my own website space from a dedicated company http://www.dot5hosting.com.  I wanted to create a unique project that will allow me to utilize my skills of website creation/design and my Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Cleveland State to provide teachers with a site that can help them with the integration of technology with their Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development.

Additionally, I had worked on various technology related projects at Cleveland State University from prior semesters.  A few of my projects that I would like to share here include an exploration paper in which I had worked on for ADM 614 with Dr. Hampton which is titled What Do Administrator's Need to Know About Technology.  In addition, I had created a Computer Acceptable Use Policy for ADM 618 with Dr. Williams that I used when I was teaching at The Academy of St. Bartholomew.  When I was in the process of finishing with my Master's Degree in Educational Technology, I also worked on creating a website on the Ohio and Erie Canal for ETE 568 (Computer Programming) http://www.kingofalltechnology.com/ohiocanal.htm.
